Service Overview

Scope of service

In order to settle consumer disputes promptly and effectively, protect consumer rights and interests, and augment the status of businesses, businesses joining the “Adherent” scheme are obliged to resolve consumer disputes, this obligation gives confidence to consumers.

Service target and eligibility

Target:

Retail businesses operating in Macao.

Eligibility:

Any retail business operating in Macao that agrees to submit and resolve consumer dispute at the Macao Consumer Mediation and Arbitration Centre (the claims involved do not exceed the statutory value of appeal interest of the Court of First Instance, i.e. MOP100,000).

Service result

Upon receipt of the application in person/online, approval result will be available in written format within 20 working days.
