“Consumer Online” QR code available in different areas for consumers’ convenience

For the convenience of consumers to use the services of “Consumer Online”, the Consumer Council has widely posted QR code stickers and posters of “Consumer Online” in supermarkets and buildings across Macao. Consumers may scan the QR code to access the platform, submit their text or pictures for the Council to follow up.

Easy access to “Consumer Online” platform

“Consumer Online” is easy to use, quick and efficient, consumers are able to utilize the service of the Council via the platform whenever they need. QR code stickers and posters of “Consumer Online” have been distributed to over 1,000 “Adherents” and have been posted to supermarkets and buildings in various areas.

Consumers may use their mobile devices to scan the QR code around them to get access to the “Consumer Online” e-services platform, complaints or inquires may also be lodged easily

Shops reminded to comply with laws

The Consumer Council reminds shops to comply with laws and operate with integrity and honesty for the implementation of corporate social responsibility to safeguard and respect consumer rights. In response to the Electronic Consumption Benefit Scheme of the SAR Government, shops are reminded to monitor their operations, such as accurate price labels, to avoid any consumer disputes with consumers.

Shops agree with the importance of safeguarding consumer rights and are willing to adhere the QR stickers of “Consumer Online” to help with the work of the Council, and welcome the monitoring of consumers.

“Certified Shops” to abide by promise to safeguard consumer protection

Letters have been sent to all “Certified Shops” for reminding them to abide by the “Undertakings of Certified Shops”. The Council will continue its monitoring on “Certified Shops” to ensure consumers rights are well safeguarded.

Usage of “Consumer Online” gradually increases

The Council continues to encourage residents to use “Consumer Online” through various talks and promotions and the usage of the platform has gradually increased. About 780 cases, a 44 percent increase year on year, have been lodged since the platform was launched about six months ago, and almost 2,000 times have been recorded for users’ self-service on checking case status.

Aside from scanning the QR code, consumers may access the platform via the “Consumer Online” link (https://app.consumer.gov.mo/wapp/cconline?lang=zh) or the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo).
